Type LX 5000

Description of the glass bead LX 5000

The LX 5000 glass beads are fine, round, solid glass granules. It is a non-metallic blasting medium produced from natron glass. When blasting with these glass beads the operating pressure must generally be lower than 4.5 bar, or the glass beads break too quickly.

Because glass does not cause a chemical reaction when it comes into contact with other materials, there is no rust formation whatsoever on the surface treated. Glass beads are completely free of metals.

Application

• Dry compressed air blasting and wet blasting,
• Cleaning, deburring, polishing, matting, pre-treatment, surface finishing, satinising and to reduce the surface roughness of stainless steel, aluminium and other non-ferrous metals without damaging the surface, sides or cuts.
