Supply and disposal network for train depots

Central trains depots must be able to serve multiple trains simultaneously.

LaborexRail supply and disposal networks for train depots are configured to meet every requirement. We consider all factors such as toilet technology, hygiene needs, typical weather conditions, automation requirements, etc. We provide the Belgian, Dutch and French railways with washing and cleaning train toilet systems.

They confide in us because:

  • LaborexRail offers a single central unit that serves a large number of suction heads.
  • The central unit will be installed in a 20 or 40 feet insulated container, which we build in our very own workshop.
  • We reduce system failure, maintenance and wear to a minimum because of the use of low-maintenance vacuum pumps (liquid ring pumps). During maintenance, the wastewater does not pass through the pumps, but goes along it.
  • We track the system with GPRS, which allows us to remotely intervene when necessary.

What is a supply and disposal network for train depots

A supply and disposal network for train depots is used for the emptying of vacuum toilets and filling of reservoirs in passenger trains and in maintenance depots. On top of that, you can equip these CET-systems with various options for fast train maintenance, such as a vacuum cleaner to clean the inside of the trains, warm water, soap for windows and seats, electricity, etc.

What’s important when making a choice between the different supply and disposal network systems?

When choosing between the systems, we recommend keeping the length of the trains in mind. Other aspects to bear in mind are the number of trains that need to be serviced at the same time, the size of the maintenance depot and the amount of available space. To conclude, consider the scenario of what you want to do at the moment when the train arrives.

Advantages of LaborexRail supply and disposal networks

  • Concrete gutters which can be placed flawlessly between existing rail tracks, on which we place a double suction unit (one for the wagon on the left and one for the wagon on the right) every 24 meters, which results in an excellent price-quality ratio.
  • We pay a lot of attention to the piping. Experience has taught us that just about anything gets flushed down the toilets such as syringes, spoons, belts, etc.
  • That’s why we seamlessly manufacture our train toilet systems so no obstacle can get stuck inside the piping. To do that, we use long and flexible curves to prevent blockages and pipe losses and to guarantee they are perfectly smooth inside.
  • All centralized in one unit => these units suck wastewater out of the train toilets and rinse the tanks, vacuum and compressed air connection, soapy water, electrical outlet 220 V + 3 x 400 V, connection with city water => compact unit (= all through one single pipe), the price will be more advantageous per location (= very good price-quality ratio).
  • The complete installation is constructed in stainless steel => rust ↘, lifespan ↗.
  • Completely insulated and frost-free installation. All LaborexRail vacuum wastewater systems remain reliable in the most extreme conditions. F. ex. they can operate in ambient temperatures between -40 °C and + 50 °C.
  • In Belgium, the units are installed alongside the railway track. The suction heads are hung in brackets or we use reels.
  • Integration of Profibus (Ethernet) => each responsible can monitor the installation on his computer.
  • The full operation of the system can be monitored on a PC screen. By using a GPRS system, we can do remote interventions if necessary.
  • The LaborexRailway vacuum wastewater systems can also be integrated into existing railway infrastructures. Certain types of our suction posts require hardly any foundations, so that the existing track stability requirements are never comprised.
  • Possibility to sign a maintenance contract => lifespan + quality of the installation ↗.
